"Daphne Descends" - Smashing Pumpkins
With the sugar sickness
You spy the kidnap kid
Who kids you to oblivion
It’s the perfect hassle
For the perfumed kiss
He makes you miss him more than home…
CHORUS:
You love him, you love him more than this
You love him, and you cannot, you can’t resist
You love him, you love him for yourself
You love him and no one, no one else
Past sidewalk ashes
A last...

The Geeks Were Right.
The Geeks Were Right by ana_isabela featuring Jeepers Peepers sunglasses
A board of tech-fashion I can get behind, inspired by the Faint Song “The Geeks Were Right”. I am especially lusting after the kickin’ headphones and graphic laptop skins.
“When I saw the future… / The geeks were right.”

my goals, in no uncertain terms.

3. Begin exercising regularly again. Do not make any excuses.
3a. Keep mental or physical notes of progress and the effect this activity has on mental health. Revel. Reward self in ways that celebrate the body.

TTLFT list, continued
20. Having a dresser. I got a sweet dresser from IKEA last year and hope to get one again. :) It sounds like such a trivial thing, but I really look forward to having one! Not only will it be nice to keep my clothes centrally stored and and protected, but also it will give me a nice tall surface that I can use while standing up. Last year I found the big top of my IKEA dresser invaluable, as it...

10 more T.T.L.F.T. :D
Super tired and satisfied from completing an art piece I’m really proud of ( :) ), but before I ease my cramped-up muscles with a shower and roll into bed I thought I’d add a few more things to my ‘things to look forward to list.’
Typed the first 5 long ones when a class was cancelled at school today, then added a few more.

List: Things to look forward to in America (2)
Eek, I am having a rough week! It’s not hard at work, but emotionally I am obnoxiously down in the dumps. This is annoying given how many reasons there are NOT to be a goober, but… damn. I can’t seem to find the motivation or desire to anything though deadlines are approaching!
Fortunately I’ve found the perfect thing to cheer me up: this list of things I can’t wait...

List: 5 things I look forward to when returning to...
You know, sometimes I can’t wait for Halloween. ;) Now that I have a seductive tiger onesy (haha) and ridiculous remix-y Halloween music from classroom games, I am totally set for a party. A party in which I am a sexy tiger. And by sexy I mean not sexy at all, yet capable of great minxery. ;)
Anyway the point of this post before iTunes derailed me with its choice of the “Ultimate...

more controversial little survey answers, hehe
Uh oh, you’re stuck in a fairy tale. Which one would you rather be in? “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” I would of course be a faerie. :D
If you could learn any language, which would you choose? Mmm… Mandarin.
Ah ha! A fountain of youth! At what age would you rather drink from it? Why? I hope that by the time I am old I feel so fulfilled and wise I have no desire to drink from it.
Plant or...

thoughts on vegeterianism
Should everyone be carnivores, omnivores, or herbivores? Why? Don’t be a goober – diversity is good. I feel that most people should be omnivores, though, as that is what Nature intended. We have the teeth and the stomachs and the instincts to prove it. Bad things happen when we go against Nature; then again, it looks like we’ve been doing that for so long that our environment is already fucked....

zombieness
I haven’t felt this exhausted since the runway show last year!
Yesterday I zombied through work with the help of 3 mugs of coffee, crashed into a nap as soon as I got home, numbly read a magazine for a couple of hours, and then went to bed a little past 10. I half expected to wake up early after getting so much sleep, but instead I slept until noon and barely found the energy to read...

excerpt from an email about my vacation :)
“… This morning I am at school watching it pour rain outside and feeling like it is excellent sleeping weather. Magically, we got 70+-degree weather and blazing sun during our ENTIRE vacation, even when we came to Takayama (which had had snow the week that I left.) I am still thrilled about this. :) Tokyo and Kyoto I knew would be warmer, though I did not expect tropical awesomeness...

Three nights ago as I lay in bed I suddenly became aware that I was listening to night bugs. Crickets, tree frogs, unknown other bugs… the long silence of winter had abruptly given way to the noise of summer.
The familiar but forgotten sound brought back memories of the goodness of every summer I have ever experienced, and all I could think was that my heart felt full.
